The HGMS Annual Gem, Mineral, Jewelry & Fossil Show 2026
The 2026 Houston Gem Mineral Society Annual Show (Nov 13‑15) at the Humble Civic Center showcases over 40 dealers of gems, minerals, jewelry, beads, lapidary items and fossils. Visitors can explore sections dedicated to mineral identification, fossil displays, gemstone faceting, lapidary work, and beading, with expert booths offering educational material and on‑site gemstone, mineral and fossil identification. Live demonstrations include wire‑wrapping, silversmithing, cabochon‑making, and oil‑and‑gas extraction processes. The event features a Kids Day with hands‑on Earth Science activities, a Scout Geology merit‑badge program, a “Dino Dig” from the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and grade‑appropriate scavenger hunts. Additional attractions are a swap area for amateur collectors, an info booth with silent auctions and show merchandise, and opportunities for volunteers, especially students seeking service hours.
