The Big Design Trade is the trade-only component of The Big Design Market, Melbourne's premier retail trade event for independent design. The Melbourne 2026 edition runs 4–6 December 2026 at the Royal Exhibition Building, 9 Nicholson St, Carlton VIC 3053. Over 280 independent designers and makers exhibit across homewares, ceramics, fashion, jewellery, kids' toys, tech accessories, books, art prints and stationery. Trade buyers and retailers attend to source the next season's product range from Australia's leading independent design labels. The event is held twice yearly — an 'Almost Winter' edition in May and a December edition. Trade access is arranged via the organiser, The Big Design Group ([email protected]).
