The 2026 Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival, held at Huntington Beach State Park’s historic Atalaya Castle in Murrells Inlet, runs September 25‑27. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the three‑day event showcases over 100 artisans displaying fine art, handcrafted goods, and regional specialties. Visitors can explore a curated exhibitor layout featuring visual artists, sculptors, and craft makers, while a food court offers seafood, barbecue, and treats from vendors such as Surf Dawgs, Fish Shak, Caribbean Jerk Chicken, and local coffee and smoothie stands. Live music stages present regional musicians across the weekend, with scheduled performances by Kennady Murlin, Sweet Sweet, Austin Perry, Melissa Joiner Duo, Fair Trade, and Mark McKinney. The festival is set against the backdrop of Atalaya’s Moorish‑style winter home and the park’s 2,500‑acre coastal habitats, renowned for birding, lagoon, and maritime forest environments. Admission is $10 for adults; children 15 and under enter free. Pets are not allowed inside festival grounds.
